The Steelers Will Bring the Hammer Down

Although the DA the in our lovely state announced last Monday that they will not be pressing charges against the Steelers quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, the Steeler’s owner said Thursday that there will be some consequences.  This is a great PR move for the organization.  It shows the Steeler’s community and fans that this behavior is unacceptable no matter who you are;  one is still accountable for his/her actions.  Also, the NFL commissioner has also yet to annoucement Roethlisberger’s punishment.  The announcement is likely to come after the draft this weekend.

Good Move NFL!! I commend you on not allowing Ben’s actions to go unpunished.

I have been following this Ben Roethlisberger story as well- I’m watching ESPN right now and apparently he is being suspended for 6 games, which is pretty much half of the football season. It sucks that the whole team has to suffer for his behavior, but I agree that it is good PR. Having that type of behavior, legal or not associated with an organization is definitely not a good idea.
